NFL Comeback Player of the Year Odds 2025

Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

While we don’t know who will win the award this season, we know that one NFL player that bounced back from adversity will have the honor of being the successor to former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Joe Flacco, who was the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year recipient in 2023.

Come 2025, a host of NFL players could be the next Comeback POY, with former All-Pro stars like running back Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott missing serious time this season with various injuries.

Throw in other talented pro players like Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and Kansas City Chiefs wideout Rashee Rice and you have the upper end of our 2025 NFL Comeback Player of the Year hypothetical odds board covered, with a handful of stars joining those mentioned above on our collective for the new league year across California sports betting.

Who Is Our Comeback POY Favorite For 2025?

Right now, we’re going with the three-time Pro Bowl back out of Stanford, with McCaffrey listed as a slight favorite to win the honor in 2025, ahead of Prescott (+450) and Hutchinson (+650), while a quartet of receivers come in at +1500 apiece, including Rice and fellow NFL wideouts Chris Godwin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brandon Aiyuk of the Niners and Stefon Diggs of the Houston Texans.

A few longshots to keep in mind when looking at future Comeback Player of the Year options include a trio of NFL QBs, in Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars (+2000), Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings (+2500) and former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young of the Carolina Panthers, who is listed at +2500.

Finally, New Orleans Saints superstar wide receiver Chris Olave is our longest of long shots to win the 2025 Comeback Player of the Year award, with the 11th overall pick out of Ohio State entering the 2025 league year with +3000 odds of winning the honor.
