The 10-4 San Francisco 49ers managed to clinch the NFC West ahead of Week 16, more proof coach Kyle Shanahan and his team would be a juggernaut across hypothetical California sports betting.
However, the 49ers still didn't get too much respect from the Pro Bowl when it came to recognizing the players who helped clinch the division title.
Running back Christian McCaffrey, who has scored seven touchdowns in eight games since being acquired from the Carolina Panthers midseason, was not selected for Pro Bowl honors in one of the most egregious snubs across the annual NFL all-star celebration.
Meanwhile, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who leads in the team in tackles despite playing one less game than counterpart Fred Warner, also was not selected.
Where does the McCaffrey snub rank across the league? BetCalifornia dove into the numbers to see which 2022 Pro Bowler didn't have as strong a case as the former Stanford Cardinal.

McCaffrey Truly One Of A Kind
Far be it from BetCalifornia to say someone shouldn't have made the NFC Pro Bowl roster, but Eagles running back Miles Sanders likely should have been the odd man out for McCaffrey to be selected.
While Sanders has been a significant part of the juggernaut 13-1 Eagles, he hasn't had nearly the effect on the Birds that McCaffrey has had in San Francisco. Sanders does have 11 rushing touchdowns on the year, and has already set a career high with 1,110 yards on the ground through 14 games.
But with only 19 receptions, he isn't nearly the dual threat McCaffrey is, and has played alongside MVP frontrunner Jalen Hurts the entire season.
McCaffrey, on the other hand, single-handedly helped turnaround the 49ers season.
The team was 3-3 when they acquired the high-flying former Stanford Cardinal, but has gone 7-1 since McCaffrey took over the backfield.
McCaffrey has reached the end zone seven times in those eight games (four rushing, three receiving) and has delivered whether it was Jimmy Garoppolo or rookie Brock Purdy behind center.
While Sanders has had a fine season as part of a potentially great team, McCaffrey single-handedly changed the 49ers' fortune this season in a Pro Bowl worthy fashion.
49ers Favored Against Commanders At Home
In Week 16, the 49ers are 7-point favorites at home on Christmas Eve against the 7-6-1 Washington Commanders, who are coming off a Sunday night loss to the New York Giants.
BetMGM Sportsbook has the over/under set at 37.5, and the 49ers moneyline at -350.
The over/under on McCaffrey rushing yards is 76.5 yards, and 36.5 receiving yards.
The 49ers also currently have the fourth-best odds to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM at +700, behind only the Bills (+375), Eagles (+400) and Chiefs (+500).
